Description

Juicy meatballs combining the rich flavors of French onion soup, perfect for meal prep or gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 packet French onion soup mix
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, chopped onion, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until just combined.
  2. Form mixture into meatballs, about 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter, and place them into the crockpot.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix beef broth and French onion soup mix until dissolved, then pour over the meatballs.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours or high for 3 to 4 hours.
  5. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese over meatballs and let it melt for an additional 15 minutes before serving.

Notes

For a healthier option, consider using lean ground beef. Serve over rice or pasta for a complete meal.
